Website build cost is hard to answer with a single 'how much?' It varies greatly by what you build, at what level, and with which features. But knowing rates by type gives you a feel for your budget.
Build cost by type (Korea market)
- Simple intro site: ~₩1.5M–2.5M (5–7 pages, company & contact focused)
- Custom business site: ~₩3M–8M (responsive, board, inquiry, multilingual, etc.)
- Store · commerce: ~₩5M–30M+ (payment, products, members — by scale)
- Single landing page: ~₩0.5M–2M (one conversion page for a campaign)
- Industry average (agency outsourcing): around ₩4.3M
Responsive is no longer an 'option'
It used to be billed as a separate 20–30% add-on, but now that over 70% of traffic is mobile, it's effectively included by default. A quote that lists 'responsive as extra' is worth a second look.
Easy-to-miss 'hidden costs'
- Domain: ₩10,000–30,000 / year
- Web hosting: ₩10,000–50,000 / month
- SSL certificate: from free (Let's Encrypt) to ₩100,000+ / year
- Maintenance: site ₩50,000–100,000 / mo, store ₩100,000–500,000 / mo
Budget from the build cost alone and you'll be surprised after launch. Always count operating costs too. MissionBridge discloses all of these in the quote up front.
